Kris Rutkowski came to Connecticut from Poland with two things: a strong back and an even stronger work ethic. He started doing tree work as a laborer, learned the trade from the ground up — literally — and eventually started Tree Wise Guys LLC in New Britain so he could do things his way.His way means: he shows up. He doesn't run a call center that dispatches crews to jobs he never sees. The Equipment We Invested In

Most residential tree crews show up with a bucket truck. We invested in a spider lift specifically because Connecticut residential properties are tight — fenced yards, narrow driveways, close structures. The spider lift can walk on rubber pads, navigate through fence gates, and reach over buildings to access trees that other crews quote impossibly. Pairing that with our skid steer, chipper, and rolloff capacity means we can handle a full tree removal through a 36-inch gate and leave the yard cleaner than we found it.
